The cold winds are blowing Against my tender skin. I feel winters wrath Presiding deep within. The sun is overpowered Dark clouds have blocked its heat. I cannot even see the place Where sky and water meet. Waves crashing on the rocks White caps are dancing free. The oceans in a turmoil As far as eye can see. I can taste salty spray With moisture in the air. This struggle overwhelms me This fight seems so unfair. Sand washing beneath my feet My foundation slipping away. I need you to hold me up And carry me through this day. Through this storm of life I face Alone I cannot go. Help me find the strength Lord To walk this long hard road.
